Back in Oregon.
The ride home took 3 days and I ended up backtracking many of the same roads I took on the way down. The benefit to doing this, was I learned how much of a better rider I've become, seriously, chicken lines? Not so much anymore. Butterflies in the stomach around sharp corners? Nope. Taking pictures at 100+ mph, easy.
Riding down the last stretch of road was bittersweet.
Seeing my family again is wonderful.
After I got home yesterday it hit me strange, I was only here about 20 minutes and was ready to get back on the bike again and take off to....well, anywhere. I felt a bit frenetic. First thing I did was brewed a stout pot of coffee. (I know, frenetic and coffee don't mix but I missed stout black coffee)
It was several hours before the buzz settled down enough for me to change out of my riding gear or before I was able to even start telling a few stories about the trip!
I absolutely fell in love with my Duc. I want to go ride, right now and not stop, ever. I've always loved speed and now I know it's just in my blood for good. Maybe I should try amateur racing. :)
My mind is already percolating with what's next and I'm getting the feeling the adventure is far from over.

I've already had the crazy idea of selling all the things I dragged from Idaho to Oregon, all the things I was sure I would need to make a new start for myself. Now those things just seem like junk and I have to urge to purge so I can continue the next adventure. What other doors can I walk through if I just let them open? I want to find out....so here's to the next adventure...
I'll wrap up the blog posts tomorrow. You have followed and commented and I loved it. Thank you for coming along with me, you made my trip better!
See you tomorrow.

Thanks again for sharing your adventure. Here's to many more. My mini adventure starts next week when I ride to the moto GP in Indy. FYI I'm 62 and still finding adventures. Best wishes and God bless.
