Day 25 - Carson Pass, California

That is a STUMP of a TREE, those are people standing atop.

I left too early today and ended up having to pull over to let the sun warm the day a bit more.  I was so cold and too grumpy to pull out my warm weather gear, so I just pulled over.

I didn’t sleep well last night (and I need my sleep to be happy) so I actually had extra patience with myself and my bad attitude, cause I knew it was gonna be a long, grumpy day.
I even had a few moments of “I’m done” with this trip.   But sleep does my grumpy mind good, tomorrow is a new day.

So almost without saying, Carson Paas didn’t hit the spot.   I was going to camp up there but ended up riding on to the next pass on the Sierra Nevadas, Ebbotts.   Ebbotts is a scenic byway so it promises to be more exciting.   The first part was good, it was nice a curvy!
I rode part of Hwy 49 again and I really like that road, it’s just comfortable and clean with plenty to look at.  If there is ever a next time through California, I might just jump on that road and go.

I ended up at Calaveras State Park tonight which has two Sequoia groves to explore tomorrow.
So Goodnight grumpy...I’ll see you tomorrow.
